• Carolyn Coyne

Carolyn is the Creative and Strategic Nerve Center of Tadpole.  She is the first and final word on assuring quality results for our clients through a solid approach.   She founded Tadpole after building a strong reputation for top-notch work as Red Bull’s National Events Manager, effectively building what was once a relatively unknown brand into the number-one energy drink in the US.

Since then, Carolyn established Tadpole, leading the team on hundreds of projects including winning marketing campaigns around world-class athletes, bringing Toyota trucks to the fore in the action sports industry, helping FUEL TV build each season’s advertiser base through innovative Upfront presentations, and re-introducing SALONPAS, a terrific pain-relief product to over 200,000 people in the Los Angeles area (and they told two friends).

Prior to joining Red Bull, Carolyn was a Division 1 collegiate swimmer at Northwestern University, where she received her Bachelor’s in Communication and a Concentration in English.  She currently lives in Venice with her husband, Colin and her amazing pooch, Ernie.  She is active in many causes including SMARTY, WISE, Tree People, Global Inheritance, and The Surfrider Foundation.

  • Diana Balcanu

Holding down the East Coast presence of Tadpole, Diana heads up Tadpole’s New York effort. Diana was enticed into this life of Event Marketing when she was asked to be the event marketing director for the Swerve Festival in Los Angeles. Her experience managing this Fuel TV-sponsored event solidified her love for event marketing, and she hasn’t looked back. Since then, Diana has been busy managing a multitude of large and small scale signature events for top corporations such as Red Bull, JP Morgan, Sybase, Cold River Vodka, IBM and Jones New York.

Prior to her time with Tadpole, Diana was an account executive with the prestigious fashion house of Jones New York where she served large corporate accounts including Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstroms. At Jones she not only increased sales for the brand, but also ventured outside of her role and collaborated on brand marketing efforts.

Born in Romania, raised (since age 10) in Hollywood, Florida, Diana received her bachelor’s degree in Business Management with minors in Economics and Art History from the University of Florida.

Thankfully, Diana currently resides in New York City with her French Bulldog Tashi.
