Stoked Mentoring is a non profit action sports organization for at risk youth with the mission of developing Successful Teens with Opportunity, Knowledge, Experience, and Determination through the use of action sports, mentoring and coaching.

Their mission is to develop a successful teen who:

• Is happy & healthy in their life
• Has positive relationships with others
• Can achieve what he/she sets their mind to
• Gives back to their community
• Is a model for others to follow

By using skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfing, to teach life skills STOKED has developed into a great program in the New York and Los Angeles area.

NextStep Fitness’ is hosting a “Night of Comedy…and Charity” at the world famous Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, CA. 6 Flags – Magic Mountain is doing its part to help Haiti by helping to raise awareness, collect books, and raise funds for I Heart Haiti Kids.

Anyone bringing two new or gently used school or children’s books (appropriate for K-12 school-age children) to Six Flags Magic Mountain the weekends of February 27-28, March 6-7 or March 13-14 will receive a discounted admission ticket of $24.99. Also the first 3,000 people bringing books on February 27 will be admitted to the free concert with their paid park admission or Season Pass.

It’s been nearly a year since Travis Barker performed with a DJ., but now, he’s getting ready to hit the road again, this time with Kanye West’s main man behind the decks.

Barker will be teaming up with turntablist A-Trak — West’s touring DJ — for a run of shows, scheduled to kick off March 9-10 at Hollywood’s ROXY Theatre. The gigs will mark the first time he’s performed live with a DJ since the death of his partner DJ AM in August.

The concert is promised to be small and intimate, with shows gradually getting larger as the two continue to tour outside of Los Angeles. A sure to be amazing concert, I’ve already picked up my tickets.
